Eva Lian
Eva Lian (born 5 September 1956 in Hof, Vestfold) is a Norwegian politician for the Centre Party. She was elected to the Norwegian Parliament from Vestfold in 1993, but was not re-elected in 1997. Lian served as mayor of Ramnes Municipality from 1987 to 1993. Hof, Vestfold
Hof is a former municipality in Vestfold county, Norway. It merged into Holmestrand on Jan. 1, 2018. The administrative centre of the former municipality was the village of Hof. The municipality of Hof was established on 1 January 1838 (see formannskapsdistrikt). Hof had 3,031 inhabitants as of 1 January 2002. General information Name The municipality (originally the parish) was named after the old ''Hof'' farm (Old Norse: ''Hof''), since the first church was built here. The name is identical with the word '' hof'' which means " pagan temple (for the Norse Gods)". Coat-of-arms The coat-of-arms is from modern times. They were granted on 17 July 1992. The arms show three gold-colored water lily leaves on a red background. This was chosen to represent the many small lakes in the municipality. Centre Party (Norway)
The Centre Party ( no, Senterpartiet, Sp; se, Guovddášbellodat), formerly the Farmer's Party ( no, Bondepartiet, Bp), is an agrarian political party in Norway. Ideologically, the Centre Party is positioned in the centre on the political spectrum, it advocates for economic nationalist and protectionist policy to protect Norwegian farmers with toll tariffs, and it supports decentralisation. It was founded in 1920 as the Farmers' Party ( no, link=no, Bondepartiet, Bp) and from its founding until 2000, the Centre Party joined only governments not led by the Labour Party, although it had previously supported a Labour government in the 1930s. The Storting ( no, Stortinget ) (lit. the Great Thing) is the supreme legislature of Norway, established in 1814 by the Constitution of Norway. It is located in Oslo. The unicameral parliament has 169 members and is elected every four years based on party-list proportional representation in nineteen multi-seat constituencies. A member of Stortinget is known in Norwegian as a ''stortingsrepresentant'', literally "Storting representative". Vestfold
Vestfold is a traditional region, a former county and a current electoral district in Eastern Norway. In 2020 the county became part of the much larger county of Vestfold og Telemark. Located on the western shore of the Oslofjord, it bordered the previous Buskerud and Telemark counties. The county administration was located in Tønsberg, Norway's oldest city, and the largest city is Sandefjord. With the exception of the city-county of Oslo, Vestfold was the smallest county in Norway by area. Vestfold was the only county in which all municipalities had declared Bokmål to be their sole official written form of the Norwegian language. Ramnes Municipality
Ramnes is a former municipality in Vestfold county, Norway. The municipality existed from 1838 until its dissolution in 2002. The area is now part of Tønsberg Municipality. The administrative centre was the village of Ramnes (sometimes called ''Tingvoll''). Other villages in Ramnes included Vivestad, Fon, Bergsåsen, and Linnestad. On 16 July 1873, a royal resolution approved transferring an uninhabited area of Vaale Municipality to the neighboring Ramnes Municipality.
