Eurovision Young Musicians 1992
The Eurovision Young Musicians 1992 was the sixth edition of the Eurovision Young Musicians, held at Cirque Royal in Brussels, Belgium, on 9 June 1992. Organised by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and host broadcaster Radio Télévision Belge Francophone (RTBF), musicians from eight countries participated in the televised final. Eighteen countries took part in the competition. All participants performed a classical piece of their choice accompanied by the Belgian National Orchestra, conducted by Ronald Zollman. and made their début, while and decided not to participate. The non-qualified countries were , , , , , , , , and . Bartłomiej Nizioł of Poland won the contest, with Spain and Belgium placing second and third respectively. Ronald Zollman
Ronald Zollman (born 1950) is a Belgian conductor. Early life and education Ronald Zollman was born in 1950 in Antwerp, Belgium. He began musical studies at age 4. He attended the Royal Conservatories in Antwerp and in Brussels, and later studied with Igor Markevitch and Nadia Boulanger. Career Zollman was music director of the Belgian National Orchestra from 1989 to 1993. From 1994 to 2002, he was music director of the National Autonomous University of Mexico Philharmonic Orchestra (''Orquestra Filarmónica de la UNAM''). From 2002 to 2005, he was music director of the Northern Israel Symphony , Haifa. The (; NOS or rarely ; ) is one of the broadcasting organisations making up the Dutch public broadcasting system. It has a special statutory obligation to make news and sports programmes for the three Dutch public television channels and the Dutch public radio services. It is funded by the Dutch government. The foundation's remit derives from the Dutch Media Act 2008, which stipulates that the NOS produce regular and frequent programming of a public service nature, including, notably, a full and impartial news service and coverage of parliamentary procedures and debates, as well as reporting on sporting and other national events. Florence Sitruk (born 7 June 1974, Heidelberg) is a harpist, professor of harp and music teacher of French and German ancestry. Life She took her first harp lesson at age six at the Winterthur Conservatory (today Zurich University of the Arts) and gave her first music performance two years later. At the age of twelve, she went on to study harp at the University of Music Stuttgart. She continued her studies at age seventeen at the Strasbourg Conservatory and then went to the world-famous harp school, the Conservatoire Supérieur de Paris. Vanessa Wagner (born 11 June 1973, in Rennes) is a French classical pianist. Biography She studied in the class of Dominique Merlet at the Conservatoire de Paris. At 17, she won the first prize, and went on to study with Jean-François Heisser. On the recommendation of the pianist Leon Fleisher, she took up a place at the academy at Cadenabbia, in Italy, where her teachers included Fleisher himself, Fou Ts'ong, Karl Ulrich Schnabel, Murray Perahia and Alexis Weissenberg.
