Eurovision Young Dancers 1985
The Eurovision Young Dancers 1985 was the first edition of the Eurovision Young Dancers, held at Teatro Municipale in Reggio Emilia, Italy, on 16 June 1985. Organised by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and host broadcaster Radiotelevisione Italiana (RAI), dancers from twelve countries participated in the televised final. Arantxa Argüelles of Spain won the contest, with Norway and Sweden placing second and third respectively. Location Teatro Municipale (also since the 1980s called the ''Teatro Municipale Valli'' due to being named after the actor Romolo Valli), a theatre in Reggio Emilia, Northern Italy was the host venue for the 1985 edition of the Eurovision Young Dancers. Carla Fracci
Carolina "Carla" Fracci (; 20 August 1936 – 27 May 2021) was an Italian prima ballerina, actress and ballet director. Considered one of the greatest ballerinas of the 20th century, she was a leading dancer of La Scala Theatre Ballet in Milan, then worked freelance with international companies including the Royal Ballet, London, Stuttgart Ballet, Royal Swedish Ballet and American Ballet Theatre. Fracci is known for her interpretation of leading characters in several Romantic ballets, such as ''La Sylphide'', ''Giselle'', ''Swan Lake'', and ''Romeo and Juliet''. Peter Schaufuss
Peter Schaufuss (born 1949 in Copenhagen, Denmark) is a Danish ballet dancer, director and choreographer. Biography He is the son of ballet dancers Frank Schaufuss (1921–1997) and Mona Vangsaae (1920–1983). Schaufuss trained at the Royal Danish Ballet School from age seven, and then joined the Royal Danish Ballet. He was artistic director of the English National Ballet 1984 to 1990, and Berlin Ballet from 1990 to 1994. From 1994 to 1995, he was artistic director of the Royal Danish Ballet. Alexander Kølpin (born 1 June 1965) is a Danish former ballet dancer. He had later worked as theatre director and actor. He and his father Jes Kølpin own the hotel group Kølpin Hotels , with Hotel Sanders in Copenhagen and Helenekilde Badehotel and Tsivildeleje Strandhotel in Tisvilde. DR (), officially the Danish Broadcasting Corporation in English, is a Danish public-service radio and television broadcasting company. Viviana Durante (born 8 May 1967) is an Italian ballet dancer, considered one of the great dramatic ballerinas of recent times. She was a principal dancer of The Royal Ballet, American Ballet Theatre, Teatro alla Scala and K-Ballet.
