The European Young Masters is a European amateur mixed team golf championship for boys and girls under 16 organised by the European Golf Association The European Golf Association (EGA) is a non-profit organisation based in Epalinges, Switzerland, which was founded in 1937 in Luxembourg. The EGA's main activity consists of coordinating and co-organizing European amateur golf championships. .... The inaugural event was held in 1995, and it has been played annually since, with the exception of 1996. 25 editions have been contested so far. Format The championship is contested by under-16 teams of two girls and two boys per EGA member federation, except in 1997 when an under-18 competition also took place. Pablo Martín (golfer)
Pablo Martín Benavides (born 20 April 1986) is a Spanish professional golfer. Martín was born in Málaga, and attended Oklahoma State University in the United States. He was named the Jack Nicklaus Award winner, the Haskins Award winner in 2006 as the best collegiate golfer in the world. He won the 2005 Porter Cup. In April 2007, Martín became the first amateur ever to win a European Tour event when he captured the Estoril Open de Portugal title. As an amateur, he had to forfeit the winner's prize money of €208,330, but the win still granted him exemption on the European Tour until the end of 2009. Klára Davidson Spilková (born 15 December 1994) is a Czech professional golfer who plays on the Ladies European Tour (LET). She won the 2017 Lalla Meryem Cup and the 2022 Women's Irish Open. Lisa Maguire (born 30 November 1994) is a former Irish professional golfer. In 2011, she was ranked as high as 10th in the world on the World Amateur Golf Ranking. She retired in 2019. Carly Booth (born 21 June 1992) is a Scottish professional golfer. At the end of 2009, aged 17, she became the youngest-ever Scot to qualify for the Ladies European Tour.
