European University Association
The European University Association (EUA) represents more than 800 institutions of higher education in 48 countries, providing them with a forum for cooperation and the exchange of information on higher education and research policies. Members of the Association are European universities involved in teaching and research, national associations of rectors, and other organisations active in higher education and research. EUA is the result of a merger between the Association of European Universities and the Confederation of European Union Rectors' Conferences. The merger took place in Salamanca on 31 March 2001. Membership The following is a breakdown of EUA membership between EU and other countries: Some universities in Kosovo are listed as "Individual Full Members" or "Individual Associate Members". Ivanka Popović (; born 1959) is a Serbian professor and the former rector of the University of Belgrade from 2018 to 2021. She authored and co-authored more than 85 scientific documents. Biography She was born in Rio de Janeiro to a prominent family, her father was Yugoslav ambassador and diplomat and her grandfather was Daka Popović, a member of the . The European Students' Union (ESU) is the umbrella organisation of 44 national unions of students from 40 countries, representing almost 20 million students. A consultative member of the Bologna Process, ESU is also a full member of the European Youth Forum (YFJ).
