European Newspaper Award
European Newspaper Award is a design competition for European newspapers. The competition was founded and organized by newspaper designer Norbert Küpper from Meerbusch, Germany. He co-operates with the journalist magazines '' Medium Magazin'' (Frankfurt), '' Der Österreichische Journalist'' (Salzburg), and '' Schweizer Journalist'' (Oberuzwil). The first winners were announced in 1999. In 2013 there were 20 different award categories and the winners would be announced around 15 November. Design
A design is the concept or proposal for an object, process, or system. The word ''design'' refers to something that is or has been intentionally created by a thinking agent, and is sometimes used to refer to the inherent nature of something – its design. ''The Independent'' is a British online newspaper. It was established in 1986 as a national morning printed paper. Nicknamed the ''Indy'', it began as a broadsheet and changed to tabloid format in 2003. The last printed edition was published on Saturday 26 March 2016, leaving only the online edition. ''Östersunds-Posten'', simply ''ÖP'', is a Swedish language local newspaper published in Östersund, Sweden. The paper has been in circulation since 1877. History and profile ''Östersunds-Posten'' was established in 1877. Its headquarters is in Östersund. The Erfa-group was the owner of the paper until 1975 when it was acquired by the Centertidningar, a media company owned by the Center Party. ''The Sentinel'', known online as ''Stoke-on-Trent Live'', is a daily regional newspaper circulating in the North Staffordshire and South Cheshire areas of England. It is owned by Reach plc and based at Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent. It is the only newspaper delivering daily news and features on professional football clubs Stoke City, Port Vale and Crewe Alexandra. Het Parool
''Het Parool'' () is an Amsterdam-based daily newspaper. It was first published on 10 February 1941 as a resistance paper during the German occupation of the Netherlands (1940–1945). In English, its name means ''The Password'' or ''The Motto''. History Second World War The paper was preceded by a stenciled newsletter which was started in May 1940 by Frans Goedhart. In late 1940, Wim van Norden joined the group of producers of the newsletter; Van Norden would later serve as director of the newspaper between 1945 and 1979. The ''Sunday Tribune'' was an Irish Sunday broadsheet newspaper published by Tribune Newspapers plc. It was edited in its final years by NóirÃn Hegarty, who changed both the tone and the physical format of the newspaper from broadsheet to tabloid.
