European Communist Action
The European Communist Action (ECA) is a Marxist–Leninist European political alliance. It was established on 18 November 2023 after its predecessor organization Initiative of Communist and Workers' Parties was dissolved. The European Communist Action is a coalition of communist and workers' parties in Europe. It was established with the aim of promoting scientific socialism, opposing the European Union (EU) and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), and challenging capitalist exploitation and imperialism. The ECA regards the EU as an imperialist bloc and is dedicated to the principles of class struggle and the rights of workers, advocating for socialism as an alternative to the current capitalist system in Europe. The 2024 European Parliament election was held in the European Union (EU) between 6 and 9 June 2024. The Communist Party of the Workers of Spain (, abbreviated PCTE) is a Marxist–Leninist communist party in Spain. The PCTE was founded on March 3, 2019 as the result of a split in the Communist Party of the Peoples of Spain (PCPE). The youth organization of the PCTE is called the Collectives of Communist Youth. The New Communist Party of the Netherlands (, NCPN) is a communist party in the Netherlands. The NCPN was founded in 1992 by the former members of the Communist Party of the Netherlands to oppose CPN's merger into the left-wing GroenLinks. These members have been known as "the Horizontals". Through the ''Stichting HOC'' (Foundation HOC), the NCPN releases the monthly newspaper ''Manifest''. The NCPN actively supports the socialist government of Cuba. The party opposed the 2003 invasion of Iraq and is against Dutch military intervention through NATO or other military alliances. Communist Workers' Party – For Peace and Socialism (, KTP) is a communist party in Finland. It was founded in 1988 to secure the existence of an independent Marxist–Leninist party. Since it was founded, it has been re-registered and subsequently de-registered multiple times. Since its founding, it has failed to gain any seats in the Parliament of Finland. The Workers' Party () is an Irish republican, Marxist–Leninist communist party active in both the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. The party formerly asserted a claim of direct descent from the History of Sinn Féin, original Sinn Féin organisation founded in 1905 by Arthur Griffith. It took its current form in 1970 following a division within Sinn Féin, in which the majority faction followed the leadership in a Marxist direction.
