Eurodanceweb Award
The Eurodanceweb Award is an online competition dedicated to dance music, created in 2001 by an idea of a group of Italian and Maltese disc jockeys. Main purpose of this project is the promotion of dance songs from all over Europe and the Mediterranean Basin, with strong links to their national language and culture. Every year, after monitoring the international record market, the editors of the website Eurodanceweb.com choose the most interesting dance track for each European country. The selected entries are then voted by a professional jury of disc jockeys, journalists, productors, radio speakers and webmasters of popular websites and music blogs. The winner of this voting achieves the Eurodanceweb Award, a prestigious recognition which has become an important promotional channel worldwide. Dance music is music composed specifically to facilitate or accompany dancing. It can be either a whole musical piece or part of a larger musical arrangement. In terms of performance, the major categories are live dance music and recorded dance music. While there exist attestations of the combination of dance and music in ancient times (for example Ancient Greek vases sometimes show dancers accompanied by musicians), the earliest Western dance music that we can still reproduce with a degree of certainty are old fashioned dances. In the Baroque period, the major dance styles were noble court dances (see Baroque dance). "Sure Feels Good" is a song written and recorded by Ultrabeat and Darren Styles, released as a single in 2007. It was the first Styles/Ultrabeat collaboration since Ultrabeat covered "Pretty Green Eyes" and "Feelin' Fine" in 2003. The vocals are by Rebecca Rudd, also the singer on "Elysium (I Go Crazy)". Writing and recording The song was originally a hardcore track, written and recorded by Styles & Re-Con with vocalist Rebecca Rudd in 2006. Rudd had previously worked with Ultrabeat and Mike Di Scala in the past, for example the vocals on "Elysium (I Go Crazy)". Bombo (song)
Bombo is a 2013 song performed by Norwegian singer Adelén. It was one of the finalists of Melodi Grand Prix 2013 in a bid to represent Norway in the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 in Malmö, Sweden. It has been described as a tropical dance song. The song advanced to the Top 10 finals and was chosen as one of four songs for the Gold Final. It eventually finished runner-up, the winner being Margaret Berger and her song "I Feed You My Love". Despite "Bombo" not winning the final nomination, it went straight to number 2 on the Norwegian iTunes chart after her performance, reaching the top of the charts the week after. It participated in the 2013 OGAE Second Chance Contest and won the competition with 151 points, 29 points over the runner-up, "E se poi" by Malika Ayane. Adelén
Adelén Rusillo Steen (born 4 November 1996), known professionally as Adelén, is a Spanish-Norwegian singer. Career 2013–present: Melodi Grand Prix and debut Adelén participated in the Norwegian national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 in Oslo with the Spanish-influenced song " Bombo", written by Ina Wroldsen and Quiz & Larossi and came in second place. "Bombo" went straight to number 2 on the Norwegian iTunes chart after her performance. It also appeared in VG-lista, the official Norwegian Singles Chart. The song also won the OGAE Second Chance Contest 2013, becoming Norway's third win, and first since 1993. Milk Inc. is a dance music group that formed in the commercial dance scene in Belgium in 1995. The discography of the group includes a total of seven studio albums and 41 singles. History Milk Inc. released their first hit single "La Vache" in April 1997. Milk Inc. have had several tours throughout Europe. Their music is characterized by a specific emotional mood, which is created through the use of appropriate synthesizers. Yasmin Knoch (born 27 September 1976), known professionally as Yasmin K. and also using the name Y-ass, is a German pop singer. She is best known for appearing in 2001 on the second season of ''Popstars''. Life and career Born in Soufrière, Saint Lucia, Knoch is the daughter of Oliver Bendt, founder of Goombay Dance Band. Darren Styles
Darren James Mew (born 23 May 1975), better known as Darren Styles, is an English record producer, DJ, singer and songwriter from Colchester, England. Originally a member of the breakbeat hardcore group DJ Force & the Evolution, Styles found success during the 1990s as one half of Force & Styles.
