Euro Hockey Tour
The Euro Hockey Tour (EHT) is an annual ice hockey tournament open to only the national men's teams of the Czech national ice hockey team, Czech Republic, Finnish national men's ice hockey team, Finland, Switzerland men's national ice hockey team, Switzerland and Swedish national men's ice hockey team, Sweden. Most of the teams use the competition as a preparation for the upcoming Ice Hockey World Championships, World Championships or Ice hockey at the Olympic Games, Olympics, allowing less experienced players to collect valuable ice time in their national colours. The 2004 World Cup of Hockey was an international ice hockey tournament. It was the second installment of the National Hockey League (NHL)-sanctioned competition, eight years after the inaugural 1996 World Cup of Hockey. It was held from August 30 to September 14, 2004, and took place in various venues in North America and Europe. Canada won the championship, defeating Finland in the final, held in Toronto.
