Euro Catch Festival
Euro Catch Festival was an annual professional wrestling event produced by Catch Wrestling Association (CWA) between 1991 and 1999. The event was hailed as the company's flagship event and the biggest event of the year. Two editions of the event were held once a year; the July event was held in Graz, Austria and the December event was held in Bremen, Germany. The 1999 edition of the event was the final CWA show as the promotion closed after that event. Luc Poirier, Rambo headlined all of the events with the exception of the July 1996 edition which was headlined by Tony Halme, Ludvig Borga and August Smisl. All the events were headlined by a match for the promotion's top Professional wrestling championship, title, the prestigious CWA World Heavyweight Championship, with the exception of the 1999 event, which was headlined by a CWA World Middleweight Championship match between Franz Schumann and El Zorro (wrestler), Jesus Cristobal, which would be the final match in CWA history. Otto Wanz
Otto Wanz (; 13 June 1943 – 14 September 2017) was an Austrian professional wrestler and boxer. He made his professional wrestling debut in 1968. He is a one time American Wrestling Association champion and former operator of the Catch Wrestling Association, where he was the promotion's inaugural World Heavyweight Champion, winning the title four times. He was overall a five-time world champion and the longest reigning world champion in Europe. Professional wrestling career Born in Nestelbach bei Graz on June 13, 1943, Wanz made his professional wrestling debut in 1968 in his native Austria. Later on he would work as "Bulldog" Otto in Japan, primarily working for New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW). ÖVB Arena
ÖVB Arena (originally Stadthalle Bremen, formerly Bremen-Arena and AWD-Dome) is the largest indoor arena in Bremen, Germany. It is used for concerts, sports and trade fairs. History The arena was designed and built by the Austrian architect Roland Rainer in the years 1961 to 1964. It used to be called Stadthalle Bremen until the financial services provider Allgemeiner Wirtschaftsdienst (AWD) bought the naming rights in January 2005. Contrary to what the new name suggests, the AWD-Dome is in fact not a dome. The name "Dome" was probably chosen because an AWD-Arena already exists in Hannover. At the same time €50 million were invested into the venue to modernize and expand it from 3,500 to 14,500 seats. The architect Thomas Klumpp led these renovations. Sione Havea Vailahi (born 6 September 1958) is a Tongan professional wrestler, better known by his ring name, The Barbarian. He is best known for his various stints with Jim Crockett Promotions, World Championship Wrestling (WCW) and World Wrestling Federation (WWF) and for being a part of tag teams the Powers of Pain with The Warlord and the Faces of Fear with Meng.
