EuroLeague Best Defender
The EuroLeague Best Defender is an annual basketball EuroLeague awards, award of the European professional club basketball system, European premier level EuroLeague. It is awarded to the best defensive player throughout the season, up until the EuroLeague Final Four stage of the season. The award began in the 2004–05 Euroleague, 2004–05 season, and the winner is selected by the EuroLeague's head coach, head basketball coach, coaches. Dimitris Diamantidis of Panathinaikos B.C., Panathinaikos Athens, won the first five awards, from 2005 to 2009. Winners Notes: : There was no awarding in the 2019–20 EuroLeague, 2019–20, because the season was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Europe, coronavirus pandemic in Europe. 2008–09 Euroleague
The 2008–09 Euroleague was the 9th season of the professional basketball competition for elite clubs throughout Europe, organised by Euroleague Basketball Company, and it was the 52nd season of the premier competition for European men's clubs overall. The season, which featured 24 teams from 13 countries, culminated in the 2008–09 Euroleague Final Four at the new O2 World arena in Berlin, Germany. It was won by Panathinaikos, who defeated in the final, the defending champions, CSKA Moscow. Olympiacos Football Club B, or simply Olympiacos B (), is the reserve team of Greek club Olympiacos that will be competing in the Super League Greece 2. It was founded in 2021. The 2013–14 Turkish Airlines Euroleague was the 14th season of the modern era of Euroleague Basketball and the fourth under the title sponsorship of the Turkish Airlines. Including the competition's previous incarnation as the FIBA Europe Champions Cup, this was the 57th season of the premier competition for European men's clubs. Stéphane Lasme
Yann Ulrich Stéphane Lasme (born December 17, 1982) is a Gabonese former professional basketball player. He played college basketball at the University of Massachusetts (UMass), with the UMass Minutemen, and he was selected by the Golden State Warriors in the second round, 46th overall, in the 2007 NBA draft. Andrei Gennadyevich Kirilenko (; born February 18, 1981), nicknamed AK-47, is a Russian basketball executive and former professional basketball player. At age fifteen, Kirilenko began playing professional basketball in the Russian Basketball Super League 1, Russian Basketball Super League.
