Dead Man (band)
Dead Man is a psychedelic rock band from Örebro, Närke, Sweden formed in 2003. The band’s sound is highly influenced by 1960s and 1970s psychedelic rock/ folk rock as well as other musical genres. History The band was started by Kristoffer Sjödahl (formerly of Norrsken) and Johan Rydholm. As the two jammed together a lot, they then asked Marcus Allard to join which he said yes and later that year bass player Joakim Dimberg joined to complete the band. The band’s name arose from an album by Texas rock band Josefus which was entitled ''Dead Man''. Dead Man initially released a vinyl 7” containing two songs, "Ship Ahoy!" and "Thousand Mile Stare", recorded in a basement in the rural town of Kumla. Meteor City
MeteorCity Records is an American record label founded in 1997 by Jadd Shickler and Aaron Emmel in Albuquerque, New Mexico. With the release of its compilation album ''Welcome to MeteorCity'' showcasing young unsigned Kyuss-like bands, MeteorCity helped launch the stoner rock genre and many of the genre's first bands, plus side projects from members of well-known bands including The Atomic Bitchwax and Hermano. AllMusic (previously known as All-Music Guide and AMG) is an American online music database. It catalogs more than three million album entries and 30 million tracks, as well as information on musicians and bands. Initiated in 1991, the database was first made available on the Internet in 1994. AllMusic is owned by RhythmOne. Henryk Lipp
Henryk Lipp is a well-known Polish-born Swedish musician, songwriter and music producer from Gothenburg, Sweden. Beginnings He started his musical career in the late 1970s and early 1980s with the Swedish band Extra alongside Anne-Lie Rydé, amongst others. In Blue for Two In 1984, he teamed up with Freddie Wadling to form the alternative rock duo Blue for Two with Wadling on vocals and Lipp as songwriter and on synthesizer. They went on to release a number of albums including with Wadling (on vocals) and Henryk Lipp as songwriter and synthesizers. They had a string of albums including ''Blue for Two'' (1986), ''Songs from a Pale and Bitter Moon'' (1988), ''Search & Enjoy'' (1992), ''Earbound'' (1994) and ''Moments'' (1997).
