Eugene Bombers
The Eugene Bombers were a professional American football team based in Eugene, Oregon. The Bombers played their home games at Bethel Park in Eugene. The team was founded in 1966 as a member of the Pacific Football League. The Bombers qualified for the postseason in 1966 but opted to forfeit as they did not expect to draw enough spectators to meet the cost of playing. Continental Football League
The Continental Football League (COFL) was a professional American football minor league that operated in North America from 1965 through 1969. It was established following the collapse of the original United Football League, and hoped to become the major force in professional football outside the National Football League (NFL) and the American Football League (AFL). It owed its name, at least in part, to the Continental League, a proposed third Major League Baseball organization that influenced MLB significantly, although they never played a game. Eugene ( ) is a city in the U.S. state of Oregon. It is located at the southern end of the Willamette Valley, near the confluence of the McKenzie and Willamette rivers, about east of the Oregon Coast.
