Eude Ezequiel Brito Romero (born August 19, 1978), is a Dominican former professional baseball pitcher, who played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Philadelphia Phillies, from to . The left-hander posted a lifetime big league win–loss record of 2–4. Career Brito was signed by the Philadelphia Phillies on July 3, 1998, as a non-drafted amateur free agent. After playing in the Phillies’ Minor League Baseball (MiLB) farm system, from to , he made his MLB debut, on August 21, 2005, with the Phillies. For the 2005 season, Brito posted a win–loss record of 1–2, with a 3.68 earned run average (ERA). The Golden Baseball League was an independent baseball league based in San Ramon, California, with teams located in the Western United States, Western Canada and northwest Mexico. The GBL was not affiliated with Major League Baseball or the organized Minor League Baseball system, but has featured players with MLB experience (Rickey Henderson, Jose Canseco, Alex Arias, Bud Smith, Desi Wilson, José Lima, Hideki Irabu, Junior Spivey, Mark Prior). The Harrisburg Senators are a Minor League Baseball team who play in the Eastern League, and are the Double-A affiliate of the Washington Nationals. The team is based in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, and play their home games at FNB Field on City Island, which opened in 1987 and has a seating capacity of 6,187. The "Senators" nickname refers to the host city being the state's capital and thus home of the Pennsylvania legislature. In professional sports, a free agent is a player or manager who is eligible to sign with other clubs or franchises; i.e., not under contract to any specific team. The term is also used in reference to a player who is under a contract at present but who is allowed to solicit offers from other teams.
