	Chimila Language Chimila (Shimizya), also known as Ette Taara, is a Chibchan language of Colombia, spoken by the Chimila people, who live between the lower Magdalena river, the Sierra Nevada de Santa Maria and the Cesar river. At one time Chimila was grouped with the Malibu languages, but then Chimila became classified as a Chibchan language. Julian Steward, in the 1950 ''Handbook of South American Indians'', reports a communication from Gerardo Reichel-Dolmatoff that he considered Chimila to be one of the Arawakan languages, and would thus be expected to be like Tairona, one of the Chibchan languages. Phonology Although an accurate description of the phonology of Chimila is yet to be produced, a preliminar sketch can be found in Trillos Amaya's (1997) grammar. 	Exotic Tropic Timber Enterprises The Exotic Tropic Timber Enterprises (ETTE) was formed by Fernando Robleda as a logging company in Liberia in February 1997. It later supplied arms to Charles Taylor for his " Operation No Living Thing" in January 1998, in return for concessions, or a license, to harvest the Cavalla Reforestation and Research Plantation in Liberia. The supply of arms was in addition to cash payments made directly to Taylor. The company had received a license in May 1997 but this was revoked when Taylor came to power. The Ukrainian-Israeli Leonid Minin traveled with Robleda to Liberia to meet with Taylor in September 1998 to set up the deal. Minin became chairman of the board of ETTE on 10 December four days before the company was granted the license. 	Bernard Etté Bernard Etté (September 13, 1898, in Kassel – September 26, 1973, in Mühldorf) was a German jazz and light music violinist and conductor. Etté was the son of a hairdresser and studied music formally at the Louis Spohr Conservatory in Kassel. He initially worked with Carl Robrecht as an instrumentalist, playing piano and banjo in addition to violin. In the early 1920s he assembled his own ensemble, which took up a residency in Berlin and performed on radio in the early 1920s. 	Ottmar Ette Ottmar Ette (born 14 December 1956 in Zell am Harmersbach, Black Forest, Germany) is Professor of Romance languages and Comparative literature at University of Potsdam and the author of two novels. Biographical notes In 1990, Ottmar Ette completed his dissertation at University of Freiburg on the Spanish-American modernist and Cuban national icon José Martí. In 1995, his habilitation on French post-modern theorist Roland Barthes was accepted at Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt. In 2001, Ette received the "Hugo Friedrich und Erich Köhler"-award for his work on Roland Barthes from Freiburg University. Twice, he has been granted fellowships in advanced-study institutions.
