Eti Tavares
Etiandro Igualdin Tavares (born July 24, 1993) is a Bissau-Guinean footballer who last played as a forward for FC Tucson in USL League One. Early life Tavares grew up in Guinea-Bissau during the nation's civil war before he moved to Santa Rosa, California, at the age of 11, later settling in Windsor, California. He initially did not speak English, but was able to communicate with Spanish-speaking children in his native Portuguese. Tavares attended Windsor High School. Career Professional On March 6, 2015, it was announced that Tavares signed a professional contract with USL club Real Monarchs SLC. Real Monarchs SLC
Real Monarchs is a professional soccer club playing in the MLS Next Pro, a third division league of American soccer. The team is an affiliate of the Major League Soccer (MLS) club Real Salt Lake. Real Monarchs are based in the Real Salt Lake training facility in Herriman, Utah, playing out of Zions Bank Stadium. As with Real Salt Lake, the club is owned by Gail Miller. In 2017, the Real Monarchs won the USL Regular Season Championship, the equivalent in the second division of the Supporters Shield.
