Ethridge is an unincorporated community in Toole County, Montana, United States. It is located west-northwest of Shelby. Ethridge, Tennessee
Ethridge is a town in Lawrence County, Tennessee, United States. The population was 465 at the 2010 census, down from 536 at the 2000 census. History Ethridge began as a railroad stop known as Hudson Springs, which stood a few miles south of the present site of the town, in the 1880s. A political booster and store owner at the stop successfully petitioned the railroad to name the stop in honor of Emerson Etheridge, a prominent mid-19th century politician and post-Civil War candidate for governor. The current site of Ethridge, meanwhile, was located at the intersection of two mid-19th century cattle drovers' roads. When the railroad constructed a station at this site in the late 1890s, it was named Wayne Station. After constant confusion resulted in passengers bound for Wayne Station winding up at Ethridge, a prominent real estate broker in the area convinced the railroad to close the Ethridge stop and rename the Wayne Station stop "Ethridge." Benjamin Kane Ethridge (born January 16, 1977) is an American author who writes in the horror and dark fantasy genres. Ethridge was born in Riverside, California. He spent the first five years of his life living in Alaska and Texas, before returning to Southern California. Currently, Ethridge lives in Jupiter, Florida. He obtained a BA in English at University of California, Riverside and an MA in English composition at California State University, San Bernardino. In 2003, after a stint of substitute teaching, Ethridge joined an environmental compliance firm, where he worked as an inspector. In 2006, Ethridge began publishing short fantasy and horror fiction in his spare time. John Christopher Ethridge (February 10, 1947 – April 23, 2012) was an American country rock bass guitarist. He was a member of the International Submarine Band (ISB) and The Flying Burrito Brothers, and co-wrote several songs with Gram Parsons. Ethridge worked with Nancy Sinatra, Judy Collins, Leon Russell, Delaney Bramlett, Johnny Winter, Randy Newman, Graham Nash, Ry Cooder, Linda Ronstadt, The Byrds, Jackson Browne, and Willie Nelson. Career Ethridge was born in Meridian, Mississippi, United States. He began playing in local bands in the South before moving to California aged 17, having been spotted in Biloxi. Mary Camille "Kamie" Ethridge (born April 21, 1964) is a former American basketball player and current basketball coach. She was an All-American point guard at the University of Texas at Austin and won a gold medal at the 1988 Summer Olympics. She is considered one of the best women's basketball players in history and was inducted into the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame in 2002. Mark Ethridge (born May 28, 1949) is a novelist, screenwriter, and communications consultant. His novel ''Grievances'' was released in 2006, and adapted into the 2012 film ''Deadline''. A native of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, he attended Phillips Exeter Academy and graduated cum laude from Princeton University in 1971 with a degree in history. He was selected by the San Diego Chargers in the 3rd round (63rd overall) of the 1992 NFL draft.
