Ethan Del Mastro
Ethan Del Mastro (born January 15, 2003) is a Canadian professional ice hockey defenceman for the Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League (AHL) while under contract to the Chicago Blackhawks of the National Hockey League (NHL). He was drafted 105th overall by the Blackhawks in the 2021 NHL Entry Draft. Playing career Del Mastro was drafted by the Blackhawks in the 4th round, 105th overall in the 2021 NHL Entry Draft. He signed a three-year entry-level contract with the team on April 22, 2022. Del Mastro would be Rockford's sole AHL All-Star during the season in his rookie campaign. At the tail end of the season, Del Mastro was called up from AHL affiliate, the Rockford IceHogs, on April 11, 2024. The Rockford IceHogs are a professional ice hockey team based in Rockford, Illinois. They are members of the American Hockey League (AHL), having begun play in the League starting in the 2007–08 season. The team plays their home games at the BMO Center, and they serve as the top minor league affiliate of the National Hockey League (NHL)'s Chicago Blackhawks. Penalty (ice Hockey)
A penalty in ice hockey is a punishment for an infringement of the rules. Most penalties are enforced by sending the offending player to a penalty box for a set number of minutes. During the penalty the player may not participate in play. Penalties are called and enforced by the Official (ice hockey)#Referees, referee, or in some cases, the Official (ice hockey)#Linesmen, linesman. The offending team may not replace the player on the ice (although there are some exceptions, such as fighting), leaving them short handed, short-handed as opposed to full strength. Sarnia Sting
The Sarnia Sting are a junior ice hockey team based in Sarnia, Ontario, Canada. They are one of the 20 teams that make up the Ontario Hockey League. They play out of the Progressive Auto Sales Arena (formerly the Sarnia Sports and Entertainment Centre). On January 22, 2015, NHL forward David Legwand, who played for the Ottawa Senators at the time, and former NHL defenseman Derian Hatcher entered an agreement to purchase the Sarnia Sting. The 2022–23 OHL season was the 43rd season of operation (42nd season of play) of the Ontario Hockey League. The league played a 68-game regular season which began on September 29, 2022 and concluded on March 26, 2023. The post-season began on March 30, 2023 and concluded on May 21, 2023. Mississauga Steelheads
The Brampton Steelheads are a Canadian junior ice hockey team in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL), based in Brampton, Ontario. The Steelheads play their home games at the CAA Centre in Brampton.
