Eteläsuomalainen Osakunta
(ESO) is one of the 15 student nations at the University of Helsinki, Finnish-speaking, established in 1905 and it has Uusimaa and Eastern Uusimaa as recruitment regions. Before 1905, Nylands Nation (NN) gathered both Finnish- and Swedish-speaking university students from Southern Finland, but seceded from NN in 1905 to form a similar, but Finnish-speaking nation. Premises ESO has its premises in downtown Helsinki, at Uusi Ylioppilastalo, at Mannerheimintie 5, alongside four other Nations, Savolainen osakunta, Varsinaissuomalainen osakunta, Åbo Nation and Östra Finlands Nation. Nylands Nation
Nylands Nation (NN) is one of the 15 Nations at Finnish universities, student nations at the University of Helsinki, Finland's oldest, Swedish-speaking Finns, Swedish-speaking and established in 1643 at The Royal Academy of Turku. In 1828, the Academy moved to Helsinki taking the name "University" and Nylands Nation moved there along with the other Nations. Since 1904 the house of Nylands Nation, a building designed by Karl Hård af Segerstad, has stood at Kasarmikatu 40. Founding and Evolution Nylands Nation was established in 1643 as a nation for students originating from Nyland, in Turku. The Royal Academy in Turku, pioneered the concept of dividing students based on their province, a tradition inspired by universities in Paris and Italy from the 12th century. Norwegian Students' Society
Norwegian Students' Society () is Norway's oldest student society. The Norwegian Students' Society was established during 1813 in Oslo, Norway. Two years after the Royal Frederick University (today named the University of Oslo) was founded, 18 of the 19 students formed the Norwegian Students' Society. It has been the centre of debate, culture and politics for over 200 years. The idea was to make a social, intellectual and cultural arena for the students in Norway's capital. Originally a closed literary club, in 1820 it was opened for all students. In future years, the Society played a role in national debate, including contributing substantially to the establishment of May 17 as Norwegian Constitution Day. Värmlands Nation
Värmlands nation is one of the List of Uppsala University nations, 13 student nations at Uppsala University. Värmlands nation catchment corresponds to Karlstad diocese, that is, the regions Värmland and Dalsland. No formal requirement related to any of these landscapes are nowadays a must. The nation has a wide range of activities, in addition to the nation's restaurant, café, pub and party activities the nation also has a library to borrow literature from. In addition, students also have the opportunities to apply for scholarships, and obtaining temporary loans from the nation. Other activities are: photography, sports, choir and theater. The nation building in red brick is designed by the architect Ragnar Östberg and was completed in the year 1930.
