Estonian Nationalists and Conservatives (, abbr. ERK) is a right-wing politics, right-wing List of political parties in Estonia, political party in Estonia founded in 2024. The founders of the party have described themselves as nationalist and conservative. Other topics the novel party intends to focus on include national defense, the economy, the population crisis, local nature and direct democracy. The party was formed after the expulsion of several key figures in Conservative People's Party of Estonia, EKRE which was followed by the exodus of hundreds more. Helle-Moonika Helme
Helle-Moonika Helme (born Helle-Moonika Rauba; on 8 July 1966 in Vastseliina) is an Estonian musician and politician. She has been member of XIV Riigikogu and XV Riigikogu. In 1997 she graduated from Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre in opera singing. Since 2017 she is a member of Tallinn City Council. Since 2012 she is a member of Estonian Conservative People's Party. She is the wife of Conservative People's Party of Estonia politician Mart Helme. Helle-Moonika Helme was elected as a member of the XIV Riigikogu in the 2019 parliamentary elections. She served as a member of the Riigikogu's Culture Committee. Leo Kunnas
Leo Kunnas (born 14 November 1967) is an Estonian former military officer and a science fiction writer. Kunnas was born in Kliima village, Võru Parish. After graduating from the Finnish National Defence Academy 1994, Kunnas was the commander of the Defence Forces Battle School (Meegomäe, Võru). He was also the first commander of the Estonian Military Academy 1997-1999 (located in Tallinn at that time). In 2003-2007, he was the chief of the Department of Operations (J3) of the Estonian Defence Forces General Staff, holding the rank of lieutenant colonel. After graduating from US National Defence University (Norfolk, Virginia) he served 2005 as a staff officer in Operation Iraqi Freedom in MND-Baghdad 3.BCT. Alar Laneman (born 6 May 1962) is an Estonian politician. Alar Laneman stood as a candidate on the list of the Estonian Conservative People's Party in the 2019 Riigikogu elections in the 12th constituency and was elected with 673 votes. Peeter Ernits (born 11 June 1953 in Tallinn) is an Estonian zoologist, journalist and politician. He has been member of XIII and XIV Riigikogu. 2024 European Parliament Election In Estonia
An election for the Members of the European Parliament from Estonia as part of the 2024 European Parliament election took place on 9 June. Early voting took place from 3 June to 8 June. This was the first election since the 1993 Estonian municipal elections that neither the Reform Party, Centre Party nor the Conservative People's Party of Estonia have placed among the top 2 in terms of vote share. Henn Põlluaas
Henn Põlluaas (born 16 February 1960) is an Estonian politician and the President of the Riigikogu since April 2019 to March 2021. He was also the mayor of Saue from 2012 until 2015 when he was elected to the parliament. He has been the vice-chairman of the Conservative People's Party of Estonia, Conservative People's Party since 2017. In June 2021, Põlluaas was announced as the Conservative People's Party candidate in the 2021 Estonian presidential election.
