Estelí (), officially Villa de San Antonio de Pavia de Estelí is a city and Municipalities of Nicaragua, municipality within the Estelí Department, Estelí department. It is the 8th largest city in Nicaragua due to the high urbanization of its municipality, at 84.8%, with an urban population of 111,244 (2022 estimate). It is also the eighth-largest municipality, and an active commercial center in the north, known as "the Diamond of the Segovia" (this name being created by Oscar Corea Molina in his radio show "Trampolin 43”) and the de facto capital of the north. Located on the Pan-American Highway, 150 km north of Managua, Estelí is a fast-growing and progressive city. It enjoys a pleasant climate most of the year due to its location in the north central highlands at a mean elevation of 844 m (2769 ft) above sea level. Municipalities Of Nicaragua
The 15 Departments of Nicaragua, departments and 2 autonomous regions of Nicaragua are divided into 153 municipalities. The formation and dissolution of municipalities is governed by the Law of Municipalities (in Spanish language, Spanish: ''Ley No.40 - Ley de Municipalidades''), drafted and approved by the National Assembly of Nicaragua, National Assembly on July 2. 1988. Real Estelí Baloncesto
Real Estelí Baloncesto is a Nicaraguan basketball team based in Managua. Founded in 2018, it is the basketball section of the Real Estelí FC football club, which was founded in 1959. The team entered the Liga Superior de Baloncesto (LSB) for its debut season in 2018 season. Real Estelí's home arena is the Alexis Arguello Sports Complex, which was opened in 2017 and has a capacity of 8,057 people. Miraflor Natural Reserve is a nature reserve in Nicaragua. It is one of the 78 reserves that are under official protection in the country. It was declared a nature reserve in 1990.
