Association football, more commonly known as football or soccer, is a team sport played between two teams of 11 players who primarily use their feet to propel the ball around a rectangular field called a pitch. The Yemen Football Association ( ar, الاتحاد اليمني لكرة القدم) is the governing body of football in Yemen. The organisation joined FIFA in 1980 as the Yemen Arab Republic, commonly known as North Yemen. Al-Ahli Club Sanaa () is a Yemeni football and basketball club based in Sanaa, Yemen. The club was founded in 1952.
