Estanislau Ruiz Ponsetti
Estanislau Ruiz Ponsetti, or Estanislau Ruiz i Ponsetí in Catalan (23 June 1889 – 1967), was a Spanish engineer and socialist politician who became one of the leaders of the Unified Socialist Party of Catalonia (Partit Socialista Unificat de Catalunya, or PSUC). During the Spanish Civil War he was the main architect of the Soviet-style New Economy. He went into exile after the war and lived the remainder of his life in Mexico. Early years (1889–1936) Estanislau Ruiz Ponsetti was born in Mahón, Menorca, on 23 June 1889. He studied Exact Sciences and Engineering at the University of Barcelona. He obtained a BA in 1911 and taught geometry at the University of Barcelona in 1912–14. He graduated as an industrial engineer in 1915. Estanislau Basora
Estanislau Basora Brunet (also Estanislao; 18 November 1926 – 16 March 2012) was a Spanish footballer who played as a winger or striker. Most of his 15-year career was spent at FC Barcelona for which he appeared in more than 300 official games, surpassing the 100-goal mark and winning 14 major titles. A Spanish international in the late 1940s/early 1950s, Basora represented the nation at the 1950 World Cup. Club career Born in Colonia Valls, Barcelona, Catalonia, Basora joined local and La Liga giants FC Barcelona in 1946, from neighbouring CE Manresa. He made his league debut on 22 September in a 1–1 home draw against Celta de Vigo, but finished his first season with only three appearances for the club. Maria do Carmo Estanislau do Amaral (born 1959) is a Brazilian botanist, biologist, curator, and academic., who has worked, since 2011, on teaching and research in the Department of Biology, Universidad Estatal de Campinas. Estanislau da Conceição Aleixo Maria da Silva (born 4 August 1952) is an East Timorese politician and a key member of Fretilin. He was acting Prime Minister from May 2007 to August 2007. A member of Fretilin since 1974, Da Silva served on the diplomatic front for the East Timorese resistance during the years of the Indonesian occupation of Timor-Leste (1975 to 1999). During the occupation, Da Silva resided in Mozambique (1976 to 1984), Portugal (1975 to 1976 and 1984 to 1985) and Australia (1985 to 1999), before returning to Timor-Leste in 1999. Wellington de Jorge Estanislau Paeckart, better known as Pecka (born May 2, 1989), is a retired Brazilian footballer who played as a defensive midfielder. Estanislau "Estanis" Pedrola Fortuny (born 24 August 2003) is a Spanish professional footballer who plays as a forward for Italian club Sampdoria. Sérgio Estanislau Do Amaral
Sérgio Estanislau do Amaral (1925 – October 18, 1996) was a Brazilian geologist. He became a professor of geology at the Faculty of Philosophy, Sciences and Letters of the University of São Paulo in 1959. After his retirement, he was also professor of geosciences and taught geology, geography, biology and ecology at the Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho ( Rio Claro). Together with Viktor Leinz, in the early '60s, he was the author of the book ''Geologia Geral'' (General Geology), which was the first modern textbook in the field of geosciences in Brazil, which today is still in use. He also translated many books on geosciences, including "Geological History of Life." Estanislau de Figueiredo Pamplona, best known as ''Pamplona'' (born in Belém, Pará State, 24 March 1904 – 29 October 1973) was a Brazilian footballer in offensive midfield role.
