Estadio Nido Del Colibri
The Estadio Nido del Colibri (English: ''Hummingbird's Nest Stadium'') was a planned multi-use stadium in Cuernavaca, Mexico. It was originally intended to be used as the home stadium of Colibríes de Morelos, a short-lived football team in Mexico. The stadium was to have a capacity of 35,000 and 112 box seats. Origins In December 2002, it was announced that the team of Celaya would relocate to Cuernavaca in the state of Morelos to form Colibries de Morelos, owned by Jorge Rodriguez Marié. The city did not have a home stadium, but they were able to use Estadio Mariano Matamoros located in nearby Xochitepec for most of 2003. The stadium was the smallest stadium in Liga MX, housing 16,000 people. Cuernavaca
Cuernavaca (; nci-IPA, Cuauhnāhuac, kʷawˈnaːwak "near the woods", ) is the capital and largest city of the state of Morelos in Mexico. The city is located around a 90-minute drive south of Mexico City using the Federal Highway 95D. The name ''Cuernavaca'' is a euphonism derived from the Nahuatl toponym and means 'surrounded by or close to trees'. Colibríes De Morelos
Colibríes de Morelos was a Mexican football team. Nicknamed ''Los Colibríes'' (Hummingbirds), the club was founded in 2002 when the state of Morelos bought the Atlético Celaya franchise who at the time played in the top Mexican division. Colibries was the fifth professional club in the state of Morelos to play in the Primera División de México, Zacatepec being the first in 1948, followed by Marte, who moved from México City to Cuernavaca in 1953, Cuautla in 1955 and Oaxtepec in 1982. Colibries is the team with the least amount of history in the Primera Division, having played only six months in the top league for 2003 before being relegated. That same year, the club was sold to the city of Tijuana where it became Trotamundos Tijuana. The club moved to Salamanca and last played in the Tercera División de México. Xochitepec
Xochitepec is a ''municipio'' (municipality) of the state of Morelos, in central Mexico. Xochitepec is also the name of its principal township and seat of the municipal government. It is located approximately 13 km (8.1 mi) to the south of the capital of Morelos, Cuernavaca, on the southern outskirts of that city's greater metropolitan area.
