Estadio 3 De Marzo
The Estadio Tres de Marzo is a stadium in Zapopan, Jalisco, Mexico. It is currently used for football and American football. The stadium is the home ground of Tecos of the Liga Premier de México, Halcones de Zapopan and Jaguares de Jalisco of the Liga de Balompié Mexicano and Reyes de Jalisco of the Liga de Fútbol Americano Profesional. It has a capacity of 18,779 and was constructed inside the campus of the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara. History Construction of the Estadio Tres de Marzo began on 1971, when the newly founded football team of the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara (UAG), that back then played in the third tier of Mexican football, needed a stadium. Tecos Stadium
Tecos Fútbol Club, simply known as Tecos, is a Mexican professional Association football, football club based in Zapopan, Jalisco, and associated with the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara (UAG). It competes in Liga Premier de México, Liga Premier, the third level division of Mexican football league system, Mexican football. Founded in 1971 as Club de Fútbol Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara and commonly known as Tecos UAG, then changed its name to Club Deportivo Estudiantes Tecos in 2009. After the franchise was moved to Zacatecas in 2015, the club remained under its current name. It plays its home games in the Estadio 3 de Marzo (), named for the university founding day in 1935. 1986 World Cup
The 1986 FIFA World Cup was the 13th FIFA World Cup, a quadrennial football tournament for men's senior national teams. It was played in Mexico from 31 May to 29 June 1986. The tournament was the second to feature a 24-team format. Colombia had been originally chosen to host the competition by FIFA but, largely due to economic reasons, was not able to do so, and resigned in November 1982. Mexico was selected as the new host in May 1983, and became the first country to host the World Cup more than once, after previously hosting the 1970 edition. The World Cup was won by Argentina (their second title, after winning in 1978). The El Concierto Tour was a concert tour performed by Luis Miguel, to further promote the album ''El Concierto'' which began on September 15, 1995, at the Circus Maximus Showroom in Las Vegas, Nevada and performed across several cities in the United States, Puerto Rico, Mexico and Venezuela. The Aries Tour was launched by Luis Miguel to some United States and Latin American countries to promote his album ''Aries''. It began on 6 May 1993, in Guadalajara and ended on 24 July 1994, in Costa Rica. During this tour he again broke all box office records: first Latin singer to achieve a sellout crowd at Madison Square Garden in New York City, ten consecutive shows at National Auditorium in Mexico City, two dates at the James L. Knight Center in Miami.
