Sonia Escolano is a Valencian film director, born in Alicante in December 1980. She moved to Alcalá de Henares in 1996 to study literature. After that, she filmed several short films like ''Mr. Long-neck'', which won second prize at the Alcine film festival. In 2006 she filmed the short film ''Juliets''. In the literary field, she has won many awards for poetry and essays. She taught theatre for children for several years. José Gea Escolano
José Gea Escolano (14 June 1929 – 6 February 2017) was a Spanish Roman Catholic prelate. Born in El Real de Gandia, Gea Escolano was ordained to the priesthood in 1953. He served as the Bishop of Ibiza from 1976 to 1987, and later as the Bishop of Mondoñedo-Ferrol from 1987 until he retired in 2005. Luis Mercader Escolano (1444–1516) was the Grand Inquisitor of the Kingdom of Aragon from 1513 to 1516. Biography Luis Mercader Escolano was born in Murviedro in 1444. He was a Carthusian. He was appointed Bishop of Tortosa on 20 May 1513. Pope Leo X appointed him Grand Inquisitor of the Kingdom of Aragon at the same time. He died on 9 June 1516.
