Ersu Şaşma (born 30 September 1999) is a Turkish pole vaulter. Ersu Şaşma was born on 30 September 1999 in Mersin, southern Turkey. He is a member of Fenerbahçe Athletics. He was coached by Halil İbrahim Çömlekçi who died in January 2021. 2016 European Athletics Youth Championships
The 2016 European Athletics Youth Championships was the first edition of the biennial, continental athletics competition for European athletes aged fifteen to seventeen. It was held in Tbilisi, Georgia from 14 to 17 July and was established following the 2013 Congress of the EAA in Skopje. The event programme mirrored that of the previous IAAF World Youth Championships in Athletics, with the exception of a boy's decathlon, rather than the octathlon. Around 900 athletes from 46 European Athletics Member Federations took part. This was the only edition of the championships to be described as "Youth Championships". World and European Athletics hereafter changed their nomenclature from "Youth" and "Junior" to "Under-18" and "Under-20" respectively. Sondre Guttormsen (born 1 June 1999) is a Norwegian athlete specialising in the pole vault. He is a European Indoor Championships gold and bronze medallist. Guttormsen won the gold medal at the 2023 European Indoor Championships and the bronze medal at the 2025 European Indoor Championships. He is also a European U23 Championships and European U18 Championships bronze medallist, three-time NCAA champion and four-time Norwegian national champion. Guttormsen is a two-time Olympian and competed at the 2020 and 2024 Summer Olympics. 2021 European Athletics U23 Championships
The 2021 European Athletics U23 Championships were the 13th edition of the biennial athletics competition between European athletes under the age of twenty-three. It was planned to be held in Bergen, Norway from 8 to 11 July., but this venue was cancelled for Covid pandemic reasons. Initially it was intended that the event would be postponed and held in another venue after the 2020 Olympic Games. Eventually the original dates were retained, and Tallinn, Estonia was chosen as the venue. This meant that Tallinn hosted two age-group championships in successive weeks: after the European Athletics U23 Championships, the Kadriorg Stadium also hosted between 15 and 18 July the European Athletics U20 Championships.
