Ernst Grauer
Ernst Grauer (2 October 1913 – 6 May 2006) was a Swiss footballer who played for FC Basel in the 1930s and 1940s. He played as defender. He also played two seasons for Concordia Basel and toward the end of his active career he played one season for Grasshopper Club. Grauer ended his active football career playing two seasons for Nordstern Basel in the early 1950s. Football career Grauer played his youth football for FC Basel and joined their first team in 1930. After playing two test games, Grauer played his domestic league debut for the club in the home game at the Landhof on 19 April 1931 as Basel won 3–0 against Concordia Basel. He scored his first goal for his club in the very next game on 26 April. It was the last goal of the away as Basel won 3–1 against FC Bern. Stadion Neufeld
Stadion Neufeld is a multi-use stadium in Bern, Switzerland. It is the home ground of FC Bern and the junior team of BSC Young Boys. The capacity of the stadium is 14,000 spectators, including 3000 seats. BSC Young Boys used the stadium from 2001/02 to 2004/05, during the construction of Stade de Suisse. Grasshopper Club Zurich Players
Grasshoppers are a group of insects belonging to the suborder Caelifera. They are amongst what are possibly the most ancient living groups of chewing herbivorous insects, dating back to the early Triassic around 250 million years ago. Grasshoppers are typically ground-dwelling insects with powerful hind legs which allow them to escape from threats by leaping vigorously. Their front legs are shorter and used for grasping food. Paul Stöcklin
Paul Stöcklin (* 29 June 1922; † 19 July 2017) was a Swiss footballer who played for FC Basel in the 1940s and early 1950s. He played mainly in the position as striker, but also as midfielder. Stöcklin joined Basel's first team for their 1945–46 season under team manager Max Barras as they played in the Nationalliga B. After playing in two test games and in one Swiss Cup match, Stöcklin played his domestic league debut for the club in the away game on 14 April 1946. He scored his first league goal for his club in the same match as Basel won 2–0 against Luzern. In his very next game, two weeks later, on 28 April Stöcklin scored four goals as Basel beat Fribourg 6–1 in the home match at the Landhof. Basel ended that season with 43 points in 1st position to win the Nationalliga B and win promotion.
