Ernesto Oroza
Ernesto Oroza is a Cuban artist and designer. Biography Oroza earned a degree at the Havana Superior Institute of Design. He was visiting professor in Les Ateliers, Ecole Nationale Superieure de Creation Industrielle ( ENSCI) in Paris (1998), and professor of the Polytechnic Institute of Design of Havana from 1995 to 2000. Pentagram is a design firm. It was founded in 1972, by Alan Fletcher, Theo Crosby, Colin Forbes, Kenneth Grange, and Mervyn Kurlansky at Needham Road, Notting Hill, London. The company has offices in London, New York City, San Francisco, Berlin and Austin, Texas. Christoph Merian Stiftung
Christoph Merian (22 January 1800 – 22 August 1858) was a banker and businessman. He was the owner of a large estate, agriculturist and rentier. He was one of the richest Swiss men of that time. He was an honorary citizen of Münchenstein (1854) and the canton of Basel-Country (1855) and the founder of the Christoph Merian Stiftung. Early life and education Christoph Merian was born on the 22 January 1800 in the “House to the Green Ring“ in Basel as the son of Christoph Merian senior and Valeria Hoffmann. Christoph Merian was educated in Basel. At the age of five years, his education began. Guggenheim Fellowships are grants that have been awarded annually since by the John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation to those "who have demonstrated exceptional capacity for productive scholarship or exceptional creative ability in the arts." Each year, the foundation issues awards in each of two separate competitions: * One open to citizens and permanent residents of the United States and Canada. * The other to citizens and permanent residents of Latin America and the Caribbean. Francis Acea
Francis Acea (born 1967 in Havana) is an artist known for his inspiration by what ''The Language of Objects in the Art of the Americas'' describes as "the often anonymous creations of provisional art." Along with artist Diango Hernández, also inspired by the provisional art movement in Cuba, he formed the Ordo Amoris Cabinet. Acea is a graduate of the Havana Superior Institute of Design.
