Ernesto De Lucas Hopkins
Ernesto "El Pato" de Lucas Hopkins (born 5 September 1976) is a Mexican politician affiliated with the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI). He was federal deputy during the LXI Legislature of the Mexican Congress under the principle of relative majority for the . On 10 December 2012 he was appointed CEO of ProMéxico, the Federal Government body that coordinates strategies to strengthen Mexico's participation in the international economy; supports the export process of companies established in Mexico and coordinates actions aimed at attracting foreign investment. On 20 April 2013 he was fired from this post, less than five months from taking over at this office, probably making him the first senior officer to be fired by President Enrique Peña Nieto. The Honorable Congress of the State of Sonora ( es, Honorable Congreso del Estado de Sonora) is the legislative branch of the government of the State of Sonora. The Congress is the governmental deliberative body of Sonora, which is equal to, and independent of, the executive. The Congress is unicameral and consists of 33 deputies. 21 deputies are elected on a first-past-the-post basis, one for each district in which the entity is divided, while 12 are elected through a system of proportional representation. Proportional representation (PR) refers to a type of electoral system under which subgroups of an electorate are reflected proportionately in the elected body. The concept applies mainly to geographical (e.g. states, regions) and political divisions (Political party, political parties) of the electorate.
