Ernesto Alonso
Ernesto Alonso (February 28, 1917 – August 7, 2007) was a Mexican producer, director, cinematographer and actor. He was nicknamed "''El Señor Telenovela''" ("Mr. Soap Opera") because most of his work centered on telenovelas known around the world. Acting career Ernesto began his career as an uncredited extra in '' La Zandunga'' (1938), a movie starring Lupe Vélez. He then appeared in 1939's " Papacito Lindo". His popularity grew as he starred in many films of the 1940s, including "La Gallina Culeca", "Historia de una gran Amor", "El Padre Morelas", "El Jorobado", "La Corte del Faraon", "Marina", "El Gallero", and "El Precio de la Gloria" in which he starred with his brother Alfonso Ramírez Alonso. He made another series of films throughout the 1950s, including as the narrator of ''Los Olvidados'' (1950) and the lead in '' Ensayo de un crimen'' (1955), both directed by Luis Buñuel. Aguascalientes
Aguascalientes (; ), officially the Free and Sovereign State of Aguascalientes ( es, Estado Libre y Soberano de Aguascalientes), is one of the 32 states which comprise the Federal Entities of Mexico. ''El maleficio'' (English: ''The Curse'') is a Mexican telenovela directed by Raúl Araiza produced by Ernesto Alonso for Televisa in 1983. The telenovela was so successful in 1983 that a sequel was made under the title of '' El maleficio 2: Los enviados del infierno'' in 1986. The Ariel Award ( es, Premio Ariel) is an award that recognizes the best of Mexican cinema. Raquel Olmedo (; born Siomara Anicia Orama Leal on 30 December 1937) is a Cuban-born Mexican actress and singer. She started her career in her native Cuba before moving to Mexico in 1959. She performed in the last years of the Golden Age of Mexican cinema. Biography Olmedo was born in Caibarién, Las Villas, Cuba, and began her career there in theatre singing opera. In the wake of the 1959 Cuban revolution, Olmedo came to Mexico in 1959 as an unknown artist.
