Ernest Monias
Ernest Monias (born February 18, 1949) is a Cree recording artist from Manitoba, Canada. An important figure in Canadian Indigenous music, Monias has been nicknamed the "Elvis of the North". Early life Monias is born in Cross Lake First Nation and moved to Wabowden, Manitoba at the age of 4. He attended a residential school in Portage La Prairie, Manitoba. Music career Monias released his first album in 1979, after being discovered by Ray St. Germain Ray St. Germain (July 29, 1940 – June 25, 2024) was a Canadian singer, author, and television host. He was the presenter for the 1969 Canadian variety television series '' Time for Living'' and the 2006 federal Liberal candidate for the Winn .... Cross Lake First Nation
Cross Lake First Nation ( or ' 'Otter People') is a band of Cree First Nations people in Canada governed under the Indian Act. Its membersR.S., 1985, c.
