The Erin Shamrocks were a junior ice hockey team based in Erin, Ontario, Canada. They played in the Georgian Mid-Ontario Junior C Hockey League. History The Acton Sabres were founded in 1971 as a member of the South-Central Junior D Hockey League. In 1973, the league was promoted and changed to the Central Ontario Junior C Hockey League. In 1976, the league changed its name to the Mid-Ontario Junior C Hockey League, but the Sabres had bigger ambitions and opted out of the league to join the Central Ontario Junior B Hockey League and compete against their local rival the Georgetown Gemini. The Sabres played in the Central Junior B League until 1984. They sat out the 1984-85 season before moving down to the Mid-Ontario Junior C Hockey League. The Sabres were no slouch in Junior B, more often celebrating winning seasons despite the odd losing season. The Georgian Mid Ontario Junior C Hockey League is a former Junior "C" ice hockey league in Ontario, Canada, sanctioned by the Ontario Hockey Association. The Champion of the league competed for the All-Ontario Championship and the Clarence Schmalz Cup. In the summer of 2016, the GMOHL merged into the Provincial Junior Hockey League and became the Carruthers Division in the Northern Conference. Jeffrey Shevalier (born March 14, 1974) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey left winger. He played 32 games in the National Hockey League with the Los Angeles Kings and Tampa Bay Lightning between 1995 and 1999. The rest of his career, which lasted from 1994 to 2003, was mainly spent in the minor leagues. They were members of the Georgian Mid-Ontario Junior C Hockey League until 2016 when it merged into the Provincial Junior Hockey League. The Schomberg Cougars are a junior ice hockey team based in Schomberg, Ontario, Canada. They played in the Georgian Mid-Ontario Junior C Hockey League until 2016 when the league merged into the Provincial Junior Hockey League. Grimsby Peach Kings
The Grimsby Peach Kings are a Canadian Junior ice hockey team from Grimsby, Ontario and play in the Provincial Junior Hockey League. History One of the oldest hockey clubs in Ontario, the Peach Kings officially joined the Ontario Hockey Association in 1922, however the "Peach Kings" moniker had been used for local sports teams for several decades prior. The name refers to Grimsby's unique ability to cultivate peaches, a fruit that cannot be farmed without proper conditions. Grimsby's location between Lake Ontario and the Niagara Escarpment plus soil types allow for this. In the early 1920s Col. The Wingham Ironmen are a Junior ice hockey team based in Wingham, Ontario, Canada. They began play in the Northern Junior D Hockey League and eventually moved up to the Western Junior C Hockey League where they played until the 2016-17 season when the league became part of the Provincial Junior Hockey League (PJHL) as the Pollock Division.
