Erika Doornbos
Erika Doornbos (born October 12, 1956) is a Dutch curler. She plays for Curling Club Utrecht and plays lead in the Dutch national team. At the 2004 European Curling Championships, Doornbos was an alternate for Shari Leibbrandt-Demmon Shari Leibbrandt-Demmon (born March 26, 1966, in Salmon Arm, British Columbia, Canada as Sharri Demmon) is a Canadian- Dutch curling coach who is the National Coach (Bondscoach) for Netherlands Topsport & Talent Curling Program. Curling
Curling is a sport in which players slide #Curling stone, stones on a sheet of ice toward a target area that is segmented into four concentric circles. It is related to bowls, boules, and shuffleboard. Two teams, each with four players, take turns sliding heavy, polished granite stones, also called ''rocks'', across the ice ''curling sheet'' toward the ''house'', a circular target marked on the ice. Each team has eight stones, with each player throwing two. The goal is to accumulate the highest score for a ''game''; points are scored for the stones resting closest to the centre of the house at the conclusion of each ''end'', which is completed when both teams have thrown all of their stones once. European Curling Championships
The European Curling Championships are annual curling tournaments held in Europe between various European nations. The European Curling Championships are usually held in early to mid December. The tournament also acts as a qualifier for the World Championships, where the top eight nations qualify. In November 1974, a six-nations tournament was held in Zürich, Switzerland which included Switzerland, Sweden, Germany, France, Italy, and Norway. Shari Leibbrandt-Demmon
Shari Leibbrandt-Demmon (born March 26, 1966, in Salmon Arm, British Columbia, Canada as Sharri Demmon) is a Canadian- Dutch curling coach who is the National Coach (Bondscoach) for Netherlands Topsport & Talent Curling Program. She coached the National Juniors from 2005- 2014, Team van Dorp 2010 - 2013 and Men's National Selection Team 2014 to current. She also often coaches at International Camps for WCF and is the director of the Junior Division of the Curling Champions Tour. As a junior curler, Leibbrandt-Demmon skipped a team at the 1984 British Columbia Junior Girls championships, finishing 5–4. She joined the Sandra Risebrough rink for the 1988–89 season as her third. The team lost to Debbie Shermack in the final of the 1989 Alberta Scott Tournament of Hearts. The next season, she joined the Cheryl Bernard rink at third, whom she played for before forming her own rink again for the next few seasons.
