Erik Ruthford Pedersen
Erik Ruthford Pedersen (born 14 February 1946) was a Norwegian football manager. A player with a modest career in Start, he started his managing career in local clubs Vindbjart and Vigør before being hired by Bodø/Glimt. After two seasons he returned to Start, first as assistant manager, then as manager from 1982 to 1984. After long periods as youth coach and assistant manager, he again became manager in 1995. From 2007 through 2017 he was their goalkeeper coach. He was the father of players Kjetil Ruthford Pedersen and Steinar Pedersen, and after Steinar Pedersen was sacked as manager by Start's new director of sports Tor-Kristian Karlsen in 2017, Pedersen quit Start. IK Start
Idrettsklubben Start (or simply IK Start, translates to The sports club Start ) is a Norwegian football club from the city of Kristiansand that currently plays in the 1. divisjon, the second tier of the Norwegian football league system. The club was founded on 19 September 1905. The club's current head coach is Sindre Tjelmeland. The team plays in yellow jerseys, black shorts and socks at home, and black jerseys, yellow shorts and socks away. They play their home matches at Sør Arena, the club's own football stadium, opened in 2007. Before moving to Sør Arena, IK Start played their games at Kristiansand Stadion. The team's official supporter club was called "Tigerberget", until 2017, when the IK Start board decided to no longer have an official supporter club. Vindbjart Fotballklubb is a football club situated in Vennesla, Norway. They play in the 3. divisjon, the fourth tier in Norwegian football. Steinar Pedersen (born 6 June 1975) is a former Norwegian football defender. He is the son of Erik Ruthford Pedersen and brother of Kjetil Ruthford Pedersen. Pedersen is the first Norwegian to win the UEFA Champions League. His career began with Start. After their relegation in 1996, he played for Borussia Dortmund, IFK Göteborg and Lillestrøm before returning to Start in 2002.
