Erik Arroyo
Erik Jhoan Arroyo is an American lawyer and Republican politician. He became the youngest and first Hispanic Mayor in the history of Sarasota, Florida. He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. Early life and education Arroyo graduated from Riverview High School and attended the University of Florida, where he earned a degree in political science. He got his Juris Doctor from Florida A&M University College of Law. Career Mayor of Sarasota Arroyo became the youngest and first Hispanic Mayor in the history of Sarasota, Florida. As Mayor, he suggested prioritizing cuts over drawing down reserves to balance the city's $252.18 million budget. Siesta Key, Florida
Siesta Key is a barrier island off the southwest coast of the U.S. state of Florida, located between Roberts Bay and the Gulf of Mexico. A portion of it lies within the city boundary of Sarasota, but the majority of the key is a census-designated place (CDP) in Sarasota County. Siesta Key is part of the Bradenton–Sarasota–Venice Metropolitan Statistical Area.
