Eric Starczala
Eric Starczala (born August 6, 1996) is a Canadian professional football offensive lineman for the Ottawa Redblacks of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He played U Sports football at Guelph. He has also been a member of the Toronto Argonauts of the CFL. Biography Starczala attended Jacob Hespeler Secondary School in Cambridge, Ontario. He was first a member of the Guelph Gryphons football team from 2014 to 2018. However, he did not play in 2014. He was selected by the Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League (CFL) in the seventh round, with the 62nd overall pick, of the 2019 CFL draft. He officially signed with the team on May 16, 2019. Starczala was cut before the start of the 2019 CFL season, and returned to Guelph for his sixth season of U Sports football. In gridiron football, a lineman is a player who specializes in play at the line of scrimmage. The linemen of the team currently in possession of the ball are the offensive line, while linemen on the opposing team are the defensive line. 2020 CFL Season
The 2020 CFL season would have been the 67th season of modern-day Canadian football. Officially, it would have been the 63rd season of the Canadian Football League. It was originally scheduled to begin on June 11; on April 7, the start of the season was delayed to begin no sooner than July due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Canada. The CFL planned to obtain financial assistance from the federal government. In May, the CFL delayed the season to no sooner than September, and announced that the Grey Cup was to be played as a home advantage game rather than as a neutral site game in Regina, Saskatchewan, as originally planned. The 2021 CFL season was the 67th season of modern-day Canadian football. Officially, it was the 63rd season of the Canadian Football League. The regular season began on August 5, 2021, and ended November 20, 2021. Each team played 14 regular season games over 16 weeks. Previously, the season was scheduled to begin on June 10, 2021, and end on October 30, 2021, with 18 games being played per team over 21 weeks, but this was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Canada. 2019 U Sports Football Season
The 2019 U Sports football season began on August 23, 2019 with the Concordia Stingers hosting the Montreal Carabins in Montreal, Quebec. The Atlantic University Sport conference started play the following day and the Ontario University Athletics conference began play on August 25, 2019. The Canada West teams began play during the following weekend, on August 30, 2019. All 27 U Sports football teams played eight regular season games against opponents within the same conference. The conference championships were played on November 9 and the season ended on November 23 with the 55th Vanier Cup championship at PEPS Stadium in Quebec City, Quebec.
