Eric Olauson
Eric Olauson is a former Canadian politician, who was elected to the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan in the 2016 provincial election. He represented the electoral district of Saskatoon University as a member of the Saskatchewan Party until 2020. Prior to his election, he was the Ward 8 councillor on Saskatoon City Council for less than a full term. He served on the Standing Committee For Intergovernmental Affairs and Justice, Standing Committee on Human Services, Standing Committee on Private Bills, Caucus Committee for Municipal Cooperation and the Caucus Management Committee. Controversies Drunk driving Olauson was one of several candidates during the 2016 election who were previously convicted of drunk driving. Saskatchewan Party
The Saskatchewan Party is a centre-right political party in the Canadian province of Saskatchewan. Since 2007, it has been the province's governing party; both the party and the province are currently led by Premier Scott Moe. The party was established in 1997 by a coalition of former provincial Progressive Conservative and Liberal party members and supporters who sought to remove the Saskatchewan New Democratic Party (NDP) from power. The Saskatchewan Party served as the province's Official Opposition until the provincial election on November 7, 2007. Greg Ottenbreit
Greg Ottenbreit (born November 18, 1963) is a Canadian politician. He was elected to represent the electoral district of Yorkton in the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan in the 2007 election. He is a member of the Saskatchewan Party. Before his election, Ottenbreit owned and operated Ottenbreit Waste Systems Limited along with his brother Grant. On January 27, 2017, Ottenbreit revealed that he had been diagnosed with cancer. Ken Cheveldayoff (born April 1, 1965) is a Canadian provincial politician. He is the Saskatchewan Party member of the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan for the constituency of Saskatoon Willowgrove. In 2018 he was a candidate for the leadership of the Saskatchewan Party. Early life and education Cheveldayoff holds a B.A. (Honours) in Economics and Political Science (1988) and a Masters of Business Administration (1996). Saskatoon University is a provincial electoral district for the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan, Canada. Revived as a result of the 2013 revision of Saskatchewan's electoral districts, it was last contested in the 2020 election. 2016 Saskatchewan General Election
The 2016 Saskatchewan general election, was held on April 4, 2016, to elect members of the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan. The Lieutenant Governor dissolved the Legislature on March 8, 2016, setting the election date for April 4. The election resulted in the Saskatchewan Party winning its third majority government. This is the first time in 90 years that a party other than the Saskatchewan New Democratic Party (NDP) or its predecessor, the Saskatchewan Co-operative Commonwealth Federation (CCF) has won three consecutive majority governments in Saskatchewan.
