Eric Moore (drummer)
Eric Moore is an Australian music manager, label runner and former drummer who was part of the founding three members of King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, before departing from the band on August 25, 2020. Biography Starting in 2009 Moore was in a band named Goodnight Owl along with Joey Walker and his sister Bella led by frontman Eddie Alexander that in 2011 was renamed to Love Migrate. Eric would be a member of Love Migrate until sometime after the release of their EP ''Shimmer Through The Night'' in 2015. Moore was a founding member of King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard in 2010, going to school with fellow band members in Geelong and Deniliquin. The band was initially a group of students of a Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology Bachelor of Contemporary Music Performance course; Moore, Stu Mackenzie, Joey Walker, Lucas Harwood, and Michael Cavanagh. ''Chunky Shrapnel'' is a 2020 concert film and live album by Australian psychedelic rock band King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard. The concert film was first announced by the band on social media on 6 March 2020 and was set to be screened at the Astor Theatre, Melbourne on 3 and 4 April. However, because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the original screenings were cancelled. Instead, the film was digitally premiered on Vimeo on-demand for 24 hours on 17 April 2020, and again on 24 April 2020 (due to popular demand) and was then later given a theatrical premier at the Astor Theatre, Melbourne on 8 May 2021. The live double album of the same name was released alongside the film's second screening. ''Polygondwanaland'' () is the twelfth studio album by Australian psychedelic rock band King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard. The album was released under a Creative Commons Attribution license—the band uploaded the master tapes online for anyone to freely use. The fourth of five albums released by the band in 2017, it was released on 17 November 2017. Background and conception The album's title is a portmanteau of the words polygon and Gondwanaland. ''Polygondwanaland'' first appeared as a partial leak on the band's demos for the album. The leak was uploaded to SoundCloud in April 2017, but was soon taken down. As a result, news of the album was scarce and mostly involved rumours, one of which stated that it would be the last of the five albums released in 2017. Amyl and the Sniffers are an Pub rock (Australia), Australian pub rock band based in Melbourne, consisting of vocalist Amy Taylor (musician), Amy Taylor, drummer Bryce Wilson, guitarist Declan Mehrtens, and bassist Gus Romer.
