Eric Bishop
Eric Stewart Bishop (30 January 1926 – 1 April 2000) was a sports journalist and play-by-play sports broadcaster. In 1987 Bishop was inducted into the Canadian Football Hall of Fame as a broadcaster. Bishop was also briefly a horse race owner. Lacombe, Alberta
Lacombe ( ) is a city in central Alberta, Canada. It is located approximately north of Red Deer, the nearest major city, and south of Edmonton, the nearest metropolitan area. The city is set in the rolling parkland of central Alberta, between the Rocky Mountains foothills to the west and the flatter Alberta prairie to the east. Lacombe became Alberta's 17th city on September 5, 2010. Calgary Cowboys
The Calgary Cowboys were an ice hockey team that played two seasons in the World Hockey Association (WHA) from 1975–1977. The Cowboys played at the Stampede Corral in Calgary. The franchise was founded in 1972 as the Miami Screaming Eagles, though it never played a game in Miami. The team was based in Philadelphia and Vancouver, known in both markets as the ''Blazers'', before relocating to Calgary. The franchise folded in 1977. The BC Lions are a professional Canadian football team based in Vancouver, British Columbia. The Lions compete in the West Division of the Canadian Football League (CFL), and play their home games at BC Place.
