Eric Abrahamson
Eric John Abrahamson is an institutional historian and the 2006 Democratic candidate for the office of lieutenant governor in South Dakota. His running mate was Jack Billion. Professional and civic life Abrahamson is the president of Vantage Point Historical Services, Inc. Vantage Point's clients include Fortune 500 companies in financial services, telecommunications, and banking as well as leading philanthropic organizations. Abrahamson received a Ph.D. in American history from Johns Hopkins University in 2003. His dissertation and coursework focused on the role of government in promoting innovation and economic growth in the development of cellular telephony. Jack Billion
John "Jack" Billion (born March 4, 1939, Minnehaha County, South Dakota) was the 2006 Democratic Party candidate for Governor of South Dakota and served as a Member of the South Dakota House of Representatives from the 13th district from 1993 to 1997. Early years John "Jack" Billion, the second of eight children of Henry and Evelyn Heinz Billion, grew up in what is commonly known as the "North End" of Sioux Falls. Education Billion attended elementary and high school in Sioux Falls. He graduated from Cathedral High School in 1957. He received his BA degree from Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa and was admitted to the Loyola University Chicago in August 1960. Louis Galambos
Louis Paul Galambos (born April 4, 1931) is an American historian known for his contributions to business history. He is a professor emeritus in the Department of History and editor of ''The Papers of Dwight David Eisenhower'' (21 volumes) at Johns Hopkins University, where he has worked since 1971. He previously served as an Assistant Professor (1960-1966), Associate Professor (1966-1969), and Professor (1969-1970) at Rice University. Rapid City, South Dakota
Rapid City ( lkt, link=no, Mni Lúzahaŋ Otȟúŋwahe; "Swift Water City") is the second most populous city in South Dakota and the county seat of Pennington County. Named after Rapid Creek, where the settlement developed, it is in western South Dakota, on the Black Hills' eastern slope. The population was 74,703 as of the 2020 Census. Michael A. Wilson is an American lawyer and politician from South Dakota. Legal career Wilson studied economics at South Dakota State University and earned a J. D. from the University of South Dakota School of Law. He was a law clerk for the Fourth Judicial Circuit Court, then worked for Morgan, Theeler, Cogley & Padrnos, starting in 1987. After moving to Rapid City, Wilson joined the Quinn, Eiesland, Day & Barker law firm. In 2007, the firm was renamed for Wilson and Ken Barker. Lieutenant Governor Of South Dakota
The lieutenant governor of South Dakota is the second-ranking member of the executive branch of South Dakota state government and also serves as presiding officer of the South Dakota Senate. The lieutenant governor succeeds to the officer of governor if the office becomes vacant, and may also serve as acting governor if the governor is incapacitated or absent from the state. Since 1974, the lieutenant governor has been elected on a ticket with the governor. Seven lieutenant governors have gone on to be elected governor in their own right: Charles N.
