Eric Abdul
Eric Abdul ( Oranjestad, 26 February 1986) is an Aruban player of association football in the position of goalkeeper. Career Clubs Abdul was a youth player for Sparta Rotterdam, where he made it to the Young Sparta Rotterdam selection. Next he played a season in the first section of DHC Delft and from 2012 through the end of 2013 he was a goalkeeper for the Hendrik-Ido-Ambacht side ASWH. Abdul then returned to his native Aruba, playing from January 2014 for SV Estrella. Since July 2014 he is a goalie at SV Dakota, where he still played in 2021. International In 2011 Abdul was selected to the Aruba national football team. He played in several games for the team. In 2012 he won the ABCS Tournament with the Aruba national football team. Sparta Rotterdam () is a Dutch professional football club based in Rotterdam. Established on 1 April 1888, Sparta Rotterdam is the oldest professional football team in the Netherlands. ABCS Tournament
The ABCS Tournament is an annual football tournament between the representative teams of Aruba, Bonaire, Curaçao and Suriname. Louis Giskus, the President of the Suriname Football Federation said that the competition was formed "to strengthen the relationship between the Dutch speaking countries in the Caribbean". If the scores are level after 90 minutes plus injury time, the game proceeds straight to penalty kicks. No extra time is allocated. ASWH, short for Altijd Sterker Worden Hendrik-Ido-Ambacht, is an association football club from Hendrik-Ido-Ambacht, Netherlands. The club was founded in 1929. The club won section championships in 1949, 1959, 1961, 1970, 1883, 1999, 2001, 2002, and 2005. In 2005 it also won the Dutch Championship of Amateur Soccer and the Dutch Championship of Saturday Soccer. Forwards (also known as attackers) are outfield positions in an association football team who play the furthest up the pitch and are therefore most responsible for scoring goals as well as assisting them. As with any attacking player, the role of the forward relies heavily on being able to create space for attack.
