Eric A. Stillwell
Eric A. Stillwell (born 1962, USCAR) is a producer and writer who has worked on a number of television series, made-for-television movies, and motion pictures, including numerous ''Star Trek'' series and motion pictures. Stillwell graduated from the University of Oregon in 1985 with a bachelor's degree in political science. Production Stillwell began work in the field in 1986 as a production assistant on ''Promise'', a Hallmark television movie starring James Garner and James Woods that received five Emmy Awards, two Golden Globes, a Peabody Award, a Christopher Award and the Humanitas Prize. In 1987, Stillwell moved to Los Angeles, where he served as production assistant and script coordinator for '' Star Trek: The Next Generation''. The plot for "Yesterday's Enterprise" was based on the merging of two story ideas—one featured the crew of the time-traveling ''Enterprise''-C and the other the return of Denise Crosby, whose character Tasha Yar had been killed in the series' first season. Susan Sackett
Susan Sackett (born December 18, 1943) is an American author and screenwriter, best known for her involvement in the ''Star Trek'' franchise. Early life and early career Susan Sackett was born in New York City on December 18, 1943. She was raised in Connecticut and graduated from Hillhouse High School in New Haven. She received BA (1964) and MEd (1965) degrees from the University of Florida. After teaching elementary school in Miami for two years, she moved to Los Angeles, where she taught for a short time. She quit her teaching job to work in the entertainment industry, spending four years with the National Broadcasting Company (NBC) as a publicity assistant and commercial coordinator. ''Starlog'' was a monthly science fiction magazine that was created in 1976 and focused primarily on ''Star Trek'' at its inception. Kerry O'Quinn and Norman Jacobs were its creators and it was published by Starlog Group, Inc. in August 1976. ''Starlog'' was one of the first publications to report on the development of the first ''Star Wars'' movie, and it followed the development of what was to eventually become '' Star Trek: The Motion Picture'' (1979). ''The 34th Rule'' (), published January 1, 1999, is a ''Star Trek: Deep Space Nine'' novel written by Armin Shimerman and David R. George III. The story in the novel was an allegory for the internment of Japanese Americans during the Second World War, and was inspired by George Takei's experiences during that period. In response, the Bajoran government cuts off all diplomatic ties with the Ferengi and outlaws all Ferengi businesses within its borders. Armin Shimerman
Armin Shimerman (born November 5, 1949) is an American actor and author. Early life Shimerman was born into a Jewish family in Lakewood, New Jersey, on November 5, 1949, the son of accountant Susan and house painter Herbert Shimerman. When he was 15, he moved with his family to Los Angeles, where his mother enrolled him in a drama group in an effort to expand his social circle. He attended Santa Monica High School and was active in drama. As a senior, he played leading roles in school productions of '' Hamlet'', '' The Crucible'', and '' The Skin of Our Teeth'' before graduating in 1967.
