Ergene Velimeşe Spor Kulübü is a Turkish Association football, football club located in Ergene, Tekirdağ, Ergene, Turkey. History The club spent most of its history as an amateur club under the name ''Velimeşe Belediyespor'', moving to the Turkish Regional Amateur League in 2014. The club changed their name to ''Ergene Velimeşe Spor Kulübü'' in 2016 and subsequently won the Turkish Regional Amateur League to get promoted into TFF Third League for the first time. On 23 May 2019, they beat Nevşehir Belediyespor in a playoff and were promoted into the TFF Second League for the 2019–20 season, also for the first time in their history. Ergene is a municipality and district of Tekirdağ Province, Turkey. Its area is 418 km2, and its population is 67,038 (2022). The Turkish Regional Amateur League () is the fifth tier of the Turkish football league system. The tier comprises a number (usually 10-13, varies by season) of groups across Turkey, each consisting of teams grouped according to the regions in which they are based. Every season, 12 teams are promoted to the TFF Third League while the bottom two teams of each group are relegated to the Super Amateur Leagues of their respective provinces.
