Könghausen is a village in the Upper Swabian municipality of Eppishausen in Unterallgäu. Geography The Parish village of Könghausen is four kilometers northeast of the main town of Eppishausen, with which it is connected by the District road MN 3. The State Road 2027 leads through the village, which leads to Obergessertshausen in the north and Mittelneufnach in the southeast. Furthermore, the District road MN 23 begins in the center of the village and leads to Immelstetten and Markt Wald in the south. Aufhof
Aufhof is a settlement of the Upper Swabian municipality of Eppishausen in the Unterallgäu district of Germany. The single settlement is about six kilometers northeast of the main town and is connected to it via the state road St 2027 and the district road MN 3. It originally belonged to the municipality of Könghausen and was incorporated into the municipality of Eppishausen on July 1, 1972 as part of the regional reforms in Bavaria. Kirchheim In Schwaben
Kirchheim or Kirchheim in Schwaben (engl. ''Kirchheim in Swabia'') is a municipality and a market town in the district of Unterallgäu in the region of Swabia (Schwaben) in the south-west of Bavaria, Germany. The town was greatly influenced by the Fugger family. North-east of the town lies the Augsburg Western Woods Nature Park. Besides the town of Kirchheim, the municipality encompasses the villages of Derndorf, Hasberg, Spöck und Tiefenried. The town has a municipal association with Eppishausen of which it is the capital and place of administration. The town lies south-west of Augsburg, west of Munich. History Early history Kirchheim's History already begins 8000 BC in the Stone Age with the first traces of hunter-gatherers. In the Bronze Age around 1800 BC the first larger settlement was founded with around 15 homesteads. Unterallgäu is a ''Landkreis'' (district) in Swabia, Bavaria, Germany. Neighboring districts are (from the north clockwise) Neu-Ulm, Günzburg, Augsburg, Ostallgäu, Oberallgäu, and the districts Ravensburg und Biberach in Baden-Württemberg. The district-free city Memmingen in the west of the district is nearly surrounded by the district. The capital of the district is Mindelheim. Geography The district is located in the ''Allgäu'', the northern foothills of the Alps. The river Iller forms part of the western boundary of the district.
