The Mexican Episcopal Conference () is an organization of Catholic bishops, known as an episcopal conference. It is the official leadership body of the Catholic Church in Mexico. Rogelio Cabrera López
Rogelio Cabrera López (born 24 January 1951) is a Mexican prelate of the Catholic Church who has been the archbishop of Monterrey since 2012. He has been a bishop since 1996. Biography Rogelio Cabrera López was born in Santa Catarina, Guanajuato. He studied humanities, philosophy and theology at the seminary of his home diocese of Querétaro from 1961 to 1973. He completed his studies in Rome at the Pontifical Gregorian University and the Pontifical Biblical Institute, obtaining licentiates in theology and sacred scripture. He was ordained a priest on 17 November 1978. Gustavo Rodríguez Vega
Gustavo Rodríguez Vega (born 7 March 1955) is a Mexican prelate of the Catholic Church who has been archbishop of Yucatán since 2015. He became a bishop in 2001, served for seven years as an auxiliary in Monterrey and seven years as bishop of Nuevo Laredo. Biography Gustavo Rodríguez Vega was born in Monterrey, Nuevo León, on 7 March 1955, the son of Manuel Rodríguez Mora and Blanca Lilia Vega de Rodríguez. He entered the local seminary on 2 September 1970, completing his high school education and then his work in philosophy from 1973 to 1976 and in theology from 1976 to 1980. Bishops
A bishop is an ordained member of the clergy who is entrusted with a position of Episcopal polity, authority and oversight in a religious institution. Episcopal Conference
An episcopal conference, often also called a bishops’ conference or conference of bishops, is an official assembly of the bishops of the Catholic Church in a given territory. Episcopal conferences have long existed as informal entities. The first assembly of bishops to meet regularly, with its own legal structure and ecclesial leadership function, is the Swiss Bishops' Conference, which was founded in 1863. More than forty episcopal conferences existed before the Second Vatican Council. Francisco Robles Ortega
Francisco Robles Ortega (; born 2 March 1949) is a Mexican prelate of the Catholic Church who has been Archbishop of Guadalajara since 2012 and a cardinal since 2007. He was archbishop of Monterrey from 2003 to 2011. He was president of the Mexican Episcopal Conference from 2012 to 2018.
