Deborah Conway
Deborah Ann Conway (born 8 August 1959) is an Australian rock singer-songwriter and guitarist, and had a career as a model and actress. She was a founding member of the 1980s rock band Do-Ré-Mi with their top 5 hit " Man Overboard". Conway performs solo and has a top 20 hit single with " It's Only the Beginning" (1991). The associated album, '' String of Pearls'', also peaked in the top 20. She won the ARIA Award for Best Female Artist at the 1992 awards. Her next album, ''Bitch Epic'', reached the top 20 in November 1993. Conway organised and performed on the Broad Festivals from 2005 to 2008 – show-casing contemporary Australian female artists. ''Bitch Epic'' is the second studio album by Australia rock singer-songwriter and guitarist, Deborah Conway. The album was released in November 1993 and peaked at number 18 on the Australian ARIA Charts. This remains Conway's highest-charting album. The cover art features Conway topless and covered in Nutella. According to Conway, the title comes from "random words, cut up and pulled from a hat". The Athenaeum or Melbourne Athenaeum is an art and cultural hub in the central business district of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Founded in 1839, it is the city's oldest cultural institution. Its building on Collins Street in the East End Theatre District sits opposite the Regent Theatre, and currently consists of a main theatre, a smaller studio theatre, a restaurant and a subscription library. It has also served as a mechanics' institute, an art exhibition space, and a cinema. Mushroom Records was an Australian flagship record label, founded in 1972 in Melbourne. It published and distributed many successful Australian artists and expanded internationally, until it was merged with Festival Records in 1998. Acoustic Music
Acoustic music is music that solely or primarily uses instruments that produce sound through acoustic means, as opposed to electric or electronic means.
