Eoin Quigley
Eoin Quigley (born 13 October 1981) is an Irish hurler who played as a centre-forward for the Wexford senior team. Born in Piercestown, County Wexford, Quigley first played competitive hurling whilst at school at Wexford CBS. He first made his mark on the inter-county scene when he first linked up with the Wexford under-21 team. He made his senior debut in the 2004 championship. Quigley went on to play a key part for Wexford for almost a decade and won one Leinster medals and one National Hurling League (Division 2) medal. As a member of the Leinster inter-provincial team at various times, Quigley won one Railway Cup medal in 2009. At club level he is a two-time championship medallist with St Martin's, before later transferring to Sarsfields where he won another championship medal. St Martin's GAA (Wexford)
St Martin's GAA club is a Gaelic Athletic Association club located in Murrintown in the Parish of Piercestown, County Wexford, Ireland. The club was founded in 1932 and fields teams in both hurling and Gaelic football. The women's arm of the club fields teams in both camogie and ladies' Gaelic football. History The club was founded in 1932 although an earlier club bearing that name, and playing in black in white, was established in Murrintown in 1912. It lost the county junior football final of 1913 and then, in 1914, it changed jerseys to green and yellow and its name to Michael Dwyers. The current club was established at a meeting in Piercestown National School in 1932. John Quigley (hurler)
John Quigley (born 1949) is a former Irish sportsperson. He played hurling with his local club Rathnure and with the Wexford senior inter-county team in the 1960s and 1970s. Playing career Club Quigley played his club hurling with the famous Rathnure club and enjoyed much success. He won his first county title in 1967 before winning a four-in-a-row in 1971, 1972, 1973 and 1974. These wins were converted into Leinster club titles in 1971 and 1973. Quigley won further county medals in 1977, 1979 and 1980. He continued his club hurling well into the 1980s, winning both county and Leinster titles in 1986. Inter-county Quigley first came to prominence on the inter-county scene as a member of the Wexford minor hurling team in the 1960s. He won both Leinster and All-Ireland honours at this level in 1966 and added a second Leinster minor medal to his collection in 1967. The 2010 National Hurling League (known as the Allianz National Hurling League for sponsorship reasons) was the 79th season of the National Hurling League. 35 teams competed in the league. The GAA Hurling All-Ireland Senior Championship, known simply as the All-Ireland Championship, is an annual inter-county hurling competition organised by the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA).
