Eoghan Hickey
Eoghan Hickey (born 29 October 1981 in Dublin, Ireland) is a former professional rugby union player who played for seven professional clubs throughout four countries. During the 2005–06 Celtic League Hickey played for Leinster, before transferring to Munster for the 2006–07 Celtic League. Prior to this, he played for UCD in the All-Ireland League. In 2007 he transferred to London Irish on a two-year contract before joining Wasps in 2009. In 2010 he returned home to Dublin to play with Lansdowne in the All Ireland League, before joining up with the Italian club Petrarca Padova for the 2011→2012 season. From 2012→2015, Hickey played with Massy based in south west Paris during which time he completed his third university degree. Worcester Warriors are a professional rugby union club based in Worcester, England. The Irish Schoolboys rugby union team is the national team for secondary school students and under-18 school players in Ireland. Lansdowne Football Club
Lansdowne Football Club, is a rugby union team based in Dublin, Ireland. Called Football Club instead of Rugby Football Club due to being founded before the formation of the IRFU. It was founded in 1872 by Henry Dunlop as the ''Irish Champion Athletic Club''. Its senior team currently plays in Division 1A of the All-Ireland League. The club's playing colours are black, red and yellow hoops, with navy shorts. Lansdowne have won the Leinster Senior Cup a record 29 times, winning it for the first in 1891. 2006–07 Celtic League
The 2006–07 Celtic League (known as the 2006–07 Magners League for sponsorship reasons) was the sixth Celtic League season and the first with Magners as title sponsor. The season commenced on 1 September and was completed on 12 May. The teams competing remained the same as the previous season with four Irish provinces; Munster, Leinster, Connacht and 2005–06 champions Ulster, three Scottish regions; Edinburgh, Border Reivers and Glasgow Warriors and four Welsh regions; Llanelli Scarlets, Cardiff Blues, Ospreys and Newport Gwent Dragons. 2005–06 Celtic League
The 2005–06 Celtic League was the fifth Celtic League season, and the third following the introduction of regional rugby in Wales. Eleven teams, from three countries participated. The final table was dominated by the Irish, with the top three spots taken by Ulster, Leinster and Munster respectively. The 2005–06 season was the first (and last) season for which the "free weekend" was awarded points for. Due to the odd number of teams participating, for every round of fixtures, one team has a so-called "free weekend". Each time this occurred, the team was awarded four points, so although at the end of the season it did not alter the positions (each team has a guaranteed 8 points), the table is skewed during the season according to the fixtures. In the game of rugby union, there are 15 players on each team, comprising eight forwards (wearing jerseys numbered 1–8) and seven backs (numbered 9–15).
