''Environmental Communication'' is a peer-reviewed scientific journal covering environmental communication. It was established in May 2007, with Steve Depoe (University of Cincinnati) as founding editor, and is published eight times per year by Routledge. It is the official journal of the International Environmental Communication Association. The editor-in-chief is Shirley Ho (Nanyang Technological University). Environmental science is an interdisciplinary academic field that integrates physics, biology, and geography (including ecology, chemistry, plant science, zoology, mineralogy, oceanography, limnology, soil science, geology and physical geography, and atmospheric science) to the study of the environment, and the solution of environmental problems. The impact factor (IF) or journal impact factor (JIF) of an academic journal is a scientometric index calculated by Clarivate that reflects the yearly mean number of citations of articles published in the last two years in a given journal, as indexed by Clarivate's Web of Science.
